Angelus Watch Co

Product variety was the strength of Angelus - founded by the Strolz brother in 1891.

In 1914 the collection did already comprise pocket and wirstwatches, the mostof them with additional functions.

In 1942 Angelus introduced its own column-wheel chronograph which was distinguished by a date hand and a digital month and day indication. The new Chronodato was born.

With this Chronodato, Angelus was a real trendsetter - at this time wirstwatches with chronographs were fairly rare. In the next 10 years the Chronodato - in various cases and dials - was the real top money earner for Angelus.

In 1957 Angelus was developping an automatic quarter repeater movement for wirstwatches, but it never got the pass the trial stage.
